Shepherd Center at Don Hawkins

For more than 40 years, Shepherd Center East at Don Hawkins has been providing adults aged 55 and older in the East Lake community a place to socialize, learn, participate in activities such as arts and crafts, board games, Bible studies, computer classes, music, health checkups and exercise. In addition, adults aged 60 and up who meet the eligibility requirements may participate in the nutrition program that provides a free hot lunch Monday-Friday. For residents of the East Lake Community who are unable to come to the center due to health reasons, a hot meal from Meals on Wheels is available for delivery by volunteers to the home.

A Place to Be Involved
