‏When businesses closed their doors in March, it left a lot of people unable to do their jobs. With so many people working from home, Chef Edith Jerald of the Regions Bank Corporate Dining Team found there weren’t many people to feed at the headquarters’ kitchens. Enter employee Lee Taylor’s idea. As a volunteer for the Community Food Bank, Lee realized there was a lot of need. With a little coordination, Chef Edith and her team are back to work on Tuesdays and Thursdays, cooking incredible meals. One hundred meals go to The Foundry Mission on Tuesdays, while Positive Maturity receives 100 meals on Thursdays. “We could get back to work, doing what we loved, and our team could, in turn, help others,” Jerald said. “I worked out the details to do this safely and brought my team back in to get started.”

‏Over the last three months, these dining room heroes have made 43 trips, delivering 1,430 free meals. The meal deliveries are scheduled through the end of October. For more on this story and its impact on Positive Maturity, read the entire story here.
