Programs active under Positive Maturity
RSVP (Retired Senior Volunteer Program) engages adults 55 or older in volunteer opportunities to meet community needs and to promote high-quality services that enrich the lives of seniors.
FGP (Foster Grandparent Program) allows adults aged 60 and older to serve as mentors and role models for at-risk and special needs children in settings such as public schools and daycare centers.
SCP (Senior Companion Program) encourages low-income, healthy adults aged 60 and older to help frail, homebound seniors. Senior Companions assist with light household activities, personal grooming, transportation, and meal preparation, as well as provide much needed companionship.
AWARE (Aging Workers Are Reliable Employees) provides free employment assistance for job seekers aged 50 years and older.
Shepherd Center East is a senior activity centered intended to keep older adults active, entertained, and socially involved.
