MedAssist
helps low-come seniors obtain free prescription medications.
A low-come individual is defined as a single person with an
income no greater than $19,000 and couple of nor more than
$24,000. All major pharmaceutical companies (e.g., Pfizer,
Merck, Bayer) give free medications to seniors who are income
eligible and have no other prescription drug insurance plan.
MedAssist researches which medications are
available at different companies. It completes all paperwork
related to a drug assistance application. The average is five
applications per person.
A senior only needs to obtain a doctor’s
signature on the completed drug application and mail it to
the pharmaceutical company.
MedAssist serves people 50+.
In the year 2006, MedAssist saved seniors
$358,653.00.
