A Medicaid Certified adult Day
Health Center which provides a safe, caring environment
for the elderly and a respite for their caregivers.
It is an inexpensive alternative to a nursing home or
individual sitter. Planned activities keep seniors engaged
and active. Breakfast, lunch and afternoon snack are
included. A caregiver support group is available with
meetings once a quarter.
Staff includes a Center Director, Activity
Coordinator, Licensed Practical Nurse, and four aides.
Open Monday through Friday from 7:30
a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Seniors may be scheduled for several
days or five days a week.
Fees are $20.00 a day, with Medicaid
Waiver eligible clients also accepted. Some scholarships
are available through Alzheimers of Central Alabama
and Alabama Cares. |
