Randolph Fowler, President: Mr. Fowler is the Community Relations Manager and Equal Opportunity Officer for  American Cast Iron Pipe Company.

Senator Linda Coleman, 1st Vice President:  Linda Coleman was elected to the Alabama State Senate in November 2006. She chairs the Senate’s Health Committee and is as a member of the following committees: Education, Finance and Taxation, Commerce, Transportation & Utilities, Confirmations, Small Business and Economic Development, Governmental Affairs, Local Legislation 2,and serves as Chair of the Black Caucus in the Senate.

Prior to becoming state Senator Linda Coleman served in the Alabama House of representing Dist. 60, and served as a member of the Birmingham City Council for 12 years from 1985 to 1997. She taught children with disabilities for 12 years in the Birmingham School System.

Her civic involvements include prior member and president, Birmingham’s Parks & Recreation Board, the Greater Birmingham Visitors & Convention Bureau, and Birmingham’s Adult Basic Education Program. Neighborhood President, Adult Basic Education, American Red Cross disaster volunteer and disaster instructor and diversity trainer.

Currently Senator Linda Coleman is a board member of the Greater Birmingham Chapter of the American Red Cross where she also serves as a Disaster volunteer, the Alabama Institute for the Deaf & Blind (Birmingham Regional), Alabama Head Injury Foundation and is a member of Big Brothers Big Sisters.  Senator Coleman serves as the State Coordinator for the National Foundation for Women Legislators and coordinator for the Foundations’ Drug Free Starts with Me Program with local middle schools.  She is also a licensed Realtor.

Professionally she is employed as the American with Disabilities Compliance Officer for the City of Birmingham and is a licensed Realtor. She holds a BS Degree in Education from Alabama A&M University and a Masters Degree for the University of Alabama at Birmingham. Senator Linda Coleman is a member of the Saint Mary’s Catholic Church in Fairfield, a member of the choir, the Ladies Court of the Knights of Peter Claver, Vice Chair of the Altar Society and advisor to the Parish Council.

William Voigt, 2nd Vice President: A native of California, Mr. Voigt serves as Executive Director of the Jefferson County Office of Senior Citizens Services. He is a graduate of Auburn University and holds a Master of Business Administration Degree from the University of Alabama at Birmingham. He attended the School of Banking of the South at Louisiana State University and holds two graduate certificates from the American Institute of Banking.

Mr. Voigt’s civic and business activities include serving as National President of the American Lung Association, President of the National Alumni Society of the University of Alabama at Birmingham, President of United Cerebral Palsy of Alabama, President of Positive Maturity, President of the Air Force Association of Alabama, President of National Veterans Day in Birmingham and President Elect of the Alabama Gerontological Society. He served as a member of the Alabama Air National Guard and the Air Force Reserve for a period of thirty-five years and retired with the rank of Colonel.

For his civic and community involvement, he has twice been nominated as Birmingham’s Man of the Year and was selected as one of the Four Outstanding Young Men of Alabama. Recently, he was inducted into the Alabama Senior Citizens Hall of Fame.

Jackie Goggins, Treasurer: Jackie Goggins currently holds the position of coordinator for consumer affairs at Alagasco, the largest subsidiary of Energen Corporation.  Jackie joined Alagasco in 1983.  Her experience includes data processing, customer service and consumer/community affairs.

Jackie is a board member of Energen Employee’s Credit Union and Positive Maturity and is involved in several other civic organizations.

A native of Gadsden, Alabama, Jackie is a graduate of Gadsden High School and Faulkner University in Birmingham where she received an executive bachelor of business degree.

Jackie and her husband lives in Saint Clair County.  She enjoys traveling and spending time with family.

Ron Talley: Ron Talley is a Disability Specialist/Consultant and Group Manager for Assistech Group in Birmingham, Alabama. Assistech is an entrepreneurial company that represents a workforce of four in Alabama, Indiana and Pennsylvania and currently employs one person with disabilities. Ron also has his own consulting company, Ron Talley and Associates.  He is the former Manager for BellSouth Corporation. Ron provides workshops for employers on the benefits of hiring people with across disabilities and cultural backgrounds.

Ron is a retired Master Sargent from the US Military where he served his county in both the United States Army and United States Air Force Reserve.

Ron is a part-time college instructor for Jefferson State Community college and a frequent guest speaker at Wallace State Community College. Ron serves on several boards throughout central Alabama and is a frequent volunteer to many agencies.

Joyce Tolbert: Ms. Tolbert is a retired Financial Administrator of the Bankruptcy Court. Joyce worked for Bankruptcy court of a total of 35 years. During her time with the Bankruptcy court she served in the Financial Administrator for 21 years and served as a supervisor for the intake division. Joyce also worked for Oneonta Truck and Tractor Company for 10 years as a secretary and bookkeeper.

Since retirement, Joyce is active in many volunteer activities through RSVP. She has substituted and volunteered in her local elementary schools. She is also an active volunteer with adult literacy, English as a Second Language program, Hope House, Beacon Hospice, Reading Buddies, Success by Six and the Etowah Baptist Association Disaster Relief group. Joyce is also an active member in her church.

In 2005 Joyce was nominated & won the Jefferson Award for public service.

This award has been compared to the Nobel Peace Prize. Joyce believes that the greatest legacy that one can leave their children and grandchildren is to think of others first.

Jody Harris: Jody Harris is a Retired Public Affairs Specialist with the Social Security Administration in Birmingham.  He was responsible for outreach and public education in north Alabama.  Mr. Harris has served in various civic organizations in Birmingham. Mr. Harris has served as a member of the Board of Directors for the Birmingham Chapter of the American Red Cross, the Board of the Public Relations Society of America, Birmingham Chapter and is currently the President of the Board of Trustees for the Center Point Fire District.  Mr. Harris is a trustee of Clearview Baptist Church.

Tina Savas is among the first wave of women entrepreneurs in Birmingham, Alabama. In 1983, she founded the Birmingham Business Journal newspaper, followed by Alabama Health News, Alabama Construction News, and Birmingham Weekly, among other titles.

Her newspaper legacies include “The Fifty Richest” series, naming the area’s 50 richest people and their net worth; “The Birmingham 100,” the top private companies and their revenues; the “Top 40 Under 40” series, up and coming stars all under the age of 40 (now copied in all U.S. major markets); and the BAMA’s, the Birmingham Area Music Awards.

She also created the “Top Birmingham Women” award, naming 10 women each year who personify the highest echelons. As a tribute to her, the Birmingham Business Journal presented Savas this award after she sold that publication.

She has served on local boards for community development, advised numerous foundations, colleges and hospitals and won many awards during her career. She hosted a weekly radio show and is featured in the book, Italians in the Deep South, as one of the “newer generation” of Italians making “waves.”

Dottie King: Dottie King is the President of The King Consulting Group, Inc., a consulting firm that helps businesses prosper through enhanced efficiency and increased profitability.  Dottie’s twenty-five plus years of analytical experience include work with small and mid-size companies, attorneys, accountants and nonprofits as well as large, multi-national and Fortune 500 corporations.  Her projects have assisted her clients with a wide range of issues including accounting, auditing, billing accuracy, regulatory compliance, market research, product profitability, tax credits, litigation support, and funding.

Dottie is involved in the Birmingham community.  She serves on the boards of Positive Maturity, National Association of Women Business Owners (NAWBO Birmingham), The Women’s Network, The Edie Hand Foundation and the Magic City Actors Theater.  Dottie is a member of the Executive Women’s Roundtable and the Highland Park Neighborhood Association.

Dottie holds Bachelor of Science degrees in Mathematics and Physics and a Master of Arts degree in Mathematics from Samford University.

Dottie lives in a ninety-year-old home in the historic Highland Park neighborhood.  She devotes her leisure time to historic preservation, gardening, reading and writing.  She enjoys her three adult children and her four dog.
