Mission
The mission of Positive Maturity is to enrich
the quality of life for older adults and their families in
Jefferson County and surrounding areas by providing creative
programs and services that maximize human resources.
History
Positive Maturity is a 501 (c) 3 non-profit
agency established in 1970. It became a member of the United
Way of Central Alabama in 1975. PM serves both senior adults
and gives them an opportunity serve others.
Interestingly, Positive Maturity was originally
named “Profitable Maturity.” It was a name everyone
agreed was unusual for a “non-profit” organization
so it was changed.
Board of Directors
The Board of Directors consists of
a president, five other officers, and twenty directors.
Mr. Joe Langston is the current President.
